Berrien County Courthouse/Administration Building Ground Breaking
NASHVILLE, Ga. (January 2, 2007) – The Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Berrien County Courthouse Annex/ Administration Building was held today. The voters of Berrien County passed the 2006-2011 SPLOST Referendum which provided the funding for the new building.
This much anticipated building is under construction by Pinnacle and was designed by architects J. Glen Gregory and Associates of Valdosta. The 45,922 square-foot, two-story, structural steel building has an anticipated completion date of February 2008.
In attendance for the ceremony were Jimmy Parker, Chairman of the Berrien County Commission, along with Vice Chairman James B. Griner, Commissioners Elna Bragdon, Robert Griner, and Steve Roberts plus Howard McClain, County Attorney, Elaine Shiver, County Administrator and Owner’s Representative, Dona Bell, County Clerk and Rena Warren, Finance Clerk.
Representing Pinnacle were Craig Head, former Chief Operations Officer, Tia Battles, Project Manager, and Dennis Adams, Superintendent.
